Our, voices, our health: young people in public health
research
Exciting conference by and for young people - 27th
October 2010 London
The PEAR group (which stands for Public health, Education,
Awareness and Research) are a group a young people aged
13-17 from London and Leeds working with the NCB Research
Centre.
They've been getting involved in public health research and
policy that affects young people by: working with public health
researchers and policy-makers to make research more relevant to
young people learning how to do research and commissioning a
research project on cyber-bullying and mental health (which they
will be launching at the conference) telling other young people
about public health issues and research getting our voices
heard.

They are organising an exciting conference on 27th October 2010
in London to tell young people and adults about their work, and
provide a chance for people to get together and hear what others
have to say.
They want young people to come to the conference so that
you can find out about the PEAR project, what we've been doing and
the difference we have made learn more about public health issues
and how they affect young people have a chance to have you say and
make a difference too.
