What will you be doing?

From April to November BBC Blast on Tour offers hundreds of free creative workshops for 13-19 year olds at events across the UK. You’ll be working with a local Event Organiser to help plan and manage one of the Blast on Tour Events.

You’ll be coming up with ideas for marketing and promotion based on your knowledge of youth in the area, helping with production schedules and event planning and working with local facilitators and youth arts organisations to promote the free workshops, master classes and showcases on offer.

A week before the main event arrives in your area the BAT Van (Blast Advance Tour) will arrive. You will work alongside Blast Touring Facilitators to promote your forthcoming event and help deliver taster workshops for young people on board the van. When the main Blast Tour arrives in town you'll be signing people into sessions, supporting facilitators, photographing the event, filming or stage managing a showcase.

The details Work Experience placements are flexible in duration and last 1-3 weeks. Placements are unpaid and you'll need to cover your own travel expenses.

Work Experience is run on a full-time basis and may require evening or weekend work. What we are looking for The BBC welcome applicants from all age groups, however this particular scheme has been specifically designed to cater for applicants from 18-24 year old age range in order to meet the learning requirements of this group.

You’ll need to be energetic, creative, hard working, full of energy and ideas and have a desire to work on events for young people.
